To encourage 7th and 8th graders to grow in faith as they prepare to reffirm their baptism.

7th Graders

7th Graders begin the journey to reaffirm their faith to become a member in our church

8th Graders

8th Graders reaffirm what they learned in 7th grade, and contuine on their journey to learn about what it means to be a Lutheran Christian in preparation for Palm Sunday.

Confirmation Sunday

Normally, during Palm Sunday at our 10:30 service, our 8th graders are confirmed in as a member of First Lutheran Church.

Confirmation classes start the first Wednesday after the school year begins and runs through Palm Sunday. We meet from 7-8:30PM. We gather together both as a large group and break out into grades as we discuss what it means to be a Christian and, more specifically, a Lutheran Christian (so we study Luther’s Small Catechism and the Bible and learn about how they apply to our lives today. )

We expect you to attend every class, learn memory work for each session, read through the bible, serve as acolytes and turn in sermon notes.

We ask you to listen to the sermon notes to hear and understand our stories of faith and share those stories which is key in sharing our faith.
